How to Save & Share in Sketchable
Once you have created your art, the next steps are to protect and share it. To accomplish this with digital media, it is best practice to back up your work. It is in this spirit that Sketchable auto saves in numerous places, including on closing of the app. However, it is highly encouraged to implement some redundancy by exporting your work regularly. Ideally, to an external hard drive and/or the cloud. This will provide additional protection in case of a device failure.
Sketchable provides a variety of methods to accomplish this. Individual works can be exported as .jpg, .png, .psd, and many more file types. While entire journals, containing up to 25 pages, can be exported to back up your art in mass. This is done in our custom file type, .sja or “Sketchable Journal Archive”. This custom file type can be imported back into Sketchable when needed.
Now that your work is protected, you are ready to share it with the world! Once again, Sketchable offers numerous methods to do so. Naturally, one could upload any of the previously exported files to the social media platform of your choice. To share directly from Sketchable, navigate to the Share icon and the windows Share function will be engaged. Providing all the programs compatible to share your desired work with.
