Sketchable Artisan Spotlight: Johnathan Griswold
“Sketchable allows me to create ideas quicker and work more efficiently when creating pieces for clients.”
Johnathan Griswold, the man behind Grizzly River Art, is an artisan of many talents. A self-taught artist who first sold his artwork in the third grade for twenty-five cents, his business now creates logos, apparel design, fine art, and more.
Griswold entered the digital art world four years ago when he purchased a smartphone that included a stylus and drawing app. His first picture of a rainbow trout was posted to his Instagram page and was quickly sold, prompting a digital art journey which led him to a Surface Pro 4 and Sketchable.
Inspired by Sketchable’s positive user reviews and its user-friendly interface, Griswold quickly integrated the program into his workflow. From the early stages of line graphics to the development of fine art such as landscape, pet portraits, and limited-edition prints from startto finish. He states: “The different tools in Sketchable enhances me designs, allowing me to create art pieces I never thought I could.”
Griswold hopes to continue to grow his digital art business with the personal goal of designing for major outdoor companies. Sketchable’s seamless transition from the indoors of a desktop to the outside with a tablet allows artisans like Mike to continually be inspired, wherever that may be.
